.50 caliber breech loading, 21.5 in. barrel, S/N 11441, walnut stock and fore end, manufactured by American Machine Works Springfield Mass., receiver stamped "Address / POULTNEY & TRIMBLE / Baltimore U.S.A" w. 39-1/2 in. (overall)
Condition
lock and trigger appear to function; a few small cracks in the stock where it was drilled and in the fore end where it meets the receiver; good rifling and appears in overall excellent condition
