This painting depicts the Richard Sill Griswold House at 9 Lyme Street in Old Lyme, CT. Informally known as Boxwood", the house was built by Richard Sill Griswold around 1842 and in 1904 became a hotel, the Boxwood Manor Inn, where artists and students at the Old Lyme Art Colony stayed.
